Pinetree Capital Ltd. Acquires Common Shares Of Valencia Ventures Inc.

TORONTO, Canada (February 27, 2008) Pinetree Capital Ltd. (TSX: PNP), announces that, through a series of transactions ending on February 25, 2008, it acquired ownership of 1,222,500 common shares (“Common Shares”) of Valencia Ventures Inc. (“Valencia”) through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange representing approximately 2.4% of the total issued and outstanding common shares of Valencia as of February 25, 2008.  As a result of this transaction, Pinetree holds, as at February 25, 2008, 10,108,000 common shares of Valencia, including the Common Shares, or approximately 19.5% of all issued and outstanding common shares as at February 25, 2008. 

These transactions were made for investment purposes and Pinetree could increase or decrease its investment in Valencia depending on market conditions or any other relevant factor.
